March is community association awareness month, declared by Mayor Nenshi.
The Rundle Community Association is only one of over one-hundred and fifty community associations in Calgary. Your community association is run by volunteers and acts as a voice for your community. The association offers you endless opportunities such as:
- Sports
- Fitness classes like yoga
- Youth programs
- Stampede breakfasts
- Markets and craft fairs
- Clubs
- Special events like the Rundle carnival
- Newsletters
Rundle’s community hall also provides you with a space to host your own private events. The Summit Pub downstairs is a family-friendly and affordable place to eat dinner and play some games.
Purchasing a community association membership is a great way to get involved and show your support for the many ways your neighbours work to ensure you love where you live. Rundle’s membership is only $10 a year and covers your entire family. Purchasing a membership goes directly back into your community and pays for things such as hall upgrades, newsletter, and event costs. With a membership you can attend our annual general meeting held in May and let your voice be heard.
So visit us at the community hall to see what the Rundle Community Association can do for you.
